MachinePoint announces new Asian team appointments

The aim is to increase the amount of used machines for sale located in Asia, and to increase the operations between Asian used machinery buyers and sellers.

MachinePoint is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Business Managers: Enrique García, Asian Business Area Manager for beverages and Jaime Presa, Asian Business Area Manager for plastics, who will be leading an Asian team to specifically target the South East Asian region.

Led by Martin Smith, Director of the Beverages Division and Marco Marchiorello, Director of the Plastics Division, they will be working closely with existing clients in the region and developing new relationships to increase our presence in the major SE Asian economies.

MachinePoint has done business in over 80 countries and it is an international company by nature. The relationship with Asian countries it is not new, as the company has had open representations in India and Singapore previously. However now MachinePoint has created a dedicated Asian team with the main objective of growth in the south East Asian region.

Most of MachinePoint´s used equipment for sale is currently located in Europe, as the company mainly deals with European brands. However with the obvious positioning of Asian countries as major industrial powers, MachinePoint is looking to start trading as well used equipment from Asian brands that hold their value in the second hand markets.

Also for some Asian companies, used European machinery is a great option to acquire high quality machinery brands at good prices.

Most European manufacturers are already investing in having a presence in the area. MachinePoint is willing as well to cooperate with local machine manufacturers with equipment that could also be demanded in the used machinery market.

Asia has become a strategical area to develop new business for MachinePoint which is looking forward to increase Asia to Asia sales. MachinePoint will be partnering with local companies in different countries to develop a network of services and partners as it has done in Europe and Latin America, where the company has longer been consolidated.

MachinePoint has for years now providing its services to main multinationals worldwide. However is also focused on medium sized companies willing to sell their used equipment.

MachinePoint aims to provide processors in the area with an inventory of high quality used machines located in Asia. Recycling used machinery when possible, is not only environmentally friendly, but also a good way for sellers to get extra cash and buyers to acquire good machines at cheaper prices and shorter lead times.
