MachinePoint Used Machinery, the leading company in buying and selling used machinery and MachinePoint Consulting. The division of the group that sells professional services to the industry, have been present during the fair Equiplast 2017 that closed its doors last Friday in Barcelona.
It has been an atypical fair, as a result of the political upheavals that Barcelona has been exposed to during this week, which has had negative impact in visitor traffic reducing the amount of participants compared to other editions.
Even with these drawbacks, MachinePoint’s team has perceived that the plastic market is recovering and an improvement in growth forecasts in Africa.
Cesar Rodríguez, CEO of MachinePoint, comments, “Unfortunately the fair has been seriously affected by political instability and the general strike that took place in Barcelona this week. Also the lack of reaction from Fira Barcelona, as the situation in the city was absolutely normal and safe. We took the opportunity to talk more with the other exhibitors during this fair as we had more time, and we have been able to close very important agreements. Let’s hope the next fair edition takes place in other conditions and we can continue to use Equiplast as a meeting point for our Spanish market, a very important market for our company.”
This is the 18th edition of Equiplast and had 226 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors. The MachinePoint stand was located at Pavilion 3 booth A21.
